Statistics on Fires in Warehouses and Logistics Centers

Between 2006 and 2015 US Fire Departments attended 1,210 fires in warehouses and logistics centers, this does not included any cold storage units. These 1,210 fires make up less than 1% of the building fires within the US.

 

The average annual damage caused by these fires was $155 Million, resulting in 3 civilian deaths and 19 injuries. When flammable or combustible liquids or gases were involved in the fire there was a high chance of there being a civilian injury, this occurred in 31% of the instances.

Approximately 23% of all fires in warehouses and logistics centers were confined or contained.
